We believe that every student should have the confidence to know who they are and what inspires them. Every student is treated as an individual ready to grow, learn and share.

Beyond the lessons taught and learned, our recipients are students who are discovering the world and making it a better place. To us, sensitivity is a representation of strength.

Students able to find lessons in failure, to try things that make them work a little bit harder, and to appreciate that it's possible to bounce back represent resilience.

Students should be proud on developing an incredibly creative set through education, and every student should be afforded the space to realize where they might be headed.

We encourage students and educators to show a mutual respect to one another within and beyond the school environment. Everyone should be afforded, politeness, manners and kindness.

The Hagen Annual Student Award is a privately funded, merit- and service-based scholarship initiative established by Kevin Hagen in Florida. The Program seeks to empower students across the United States pursuing higher education from graduating high school seniors to doctorate candidates by recognizing resilience, leadership, and community impact.
